The largest clinical evaluation of a topical treatment for alopecia involved over 8,300 patients This formula containing Gu Sui Bu, Bai Shao, Qiang Huo, and Tian Ma.. The liquid was applied 2-3 times per day, for 2-3 months. The report that the "cure" rates for alopecia areata was 91.7%, alopecia totalis was 83.4%, and alopecia universalis was 62.1%. Less than 6% of those treated in each category failed to respond to the treatment.
